Rally against airport expansion plan

CHENNAI: Members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the residents of Pammal, Pozhichalur, Cowl Bazaar and Anakaputhur took out a rally on Monday from the Munroe statue to the State Guest House protesting against the plan to expand the Chennai airport.

The protestors appealed to the Central and State Governments and the Airports Authority of India in particular to do away with the proposal.
